Well, there's a few reviews already out there (1, 2). In addition to those reviews, a few comments:

  • If you have enable_idle_thread enabled from KB899525 then you may need to disable this, or else your host OS will consume 70-80% CPU even when your guest OS is not consuming any CPU
  • I seem to run into a bug where if Intel VT hardware virtualisation is enabled, and being used by VPC, your entire machine will hang. I don't know if this is a bug in VPC, or a problem with my specific machine (Toshiba Portege M400)
